New Burm Owner, and new to the site.
Well not necessarily new to burms, Ivan is turning 4 the May. I've had him for 3 and a half years now, and while it's been a bumpy ride, I wouldn't have done it any other way. We're pretty good pals, despite his off and on attitude, I think he really seems to get that I've been there with him all this time, and I've only been good to him. That being said he's a bit small for his age, as when he was 2, he didn't eat. At all. Took 2 live meals in 12 months, and finally it kicked in. Now only 9 feet and 40 pounds, he still has a ways to go, but we're on track and racing for the finish line now. Taking 3 pounder rabbits like the 25 dollar meals they are, he's putting it on quick. Maybe my prediction of 10 feet by age four won't be too far off.... Anyways enough talk, here he is!
This is him at 2 years old, and not eating anything... Pretty freakin cute though hehehe...
Pretty sad for almost 2 years old... But lets fast forward shall we, too a pleasent time I call the present...
Thanks for looking, I look forward to being part of the community.

Re: New Burm Owner, and new to the site.
Hello and welcome. Ivan looks great- he looks to be a healthy weight and strong. Burms can be tricky eaters at times, but once they start they don't stop. He should grow well for you now. Enjoy him- there's nothing like a gentle giant Burm.
P.S. I've got a big old boy, Trogdor, so if you have any questions or problems, I'm always willing to help.

Re: New Burm Owner, and new to the site.
Thank you all for the compliments and warm welcome. Owning a burmese python has been a really great experience so far, and I look forward to the next 30 years or so I may be fortunate to have him. He has yet to refuse a meal since his little attitude problem, and has probably grown 5 feet in the last year and a half, which makes me think things are looking pretty good.
