Re: Show your vivs! Show your vivs!
The two lit vivs were the lizards vivs, they will soon contain the GTP and JCP instead and the arboreal set up to the far left will be up for sale.

Where're all the cool enclosures at? I'm especially interested in seeing tropical, humid cages, BRB-Style! Who's got one?

Re: Show your vivs! Show your vivs!
This was an old display case from a store that i converted into a tank for my Colombian. Since the top is glass I had to mount an old subwoofer box to the side to hold the heat lamp. There was a huge UTH that i stuck to an old window and placed on the hot side, it took up about 1/3 of the tank. It was a beautiful looking display in my living room but I have since moved her out.
1. It was very hard to keep heated in the winter. We heat with a wood stove and when it goes out at night it gets really cold in on the lower floor.
2. It only opens from the back so it makes it very hard to take her out. You have to slide the whole cage out from the wall and it is heavy!
3. She got very cage defensive in it which in turn made it even more difficult to take her out.
The cage itself measures 8 ft long, 2.5 deep and 3.5 tall.
I was thinking about turning into a tank for a little colony of Tokay's. I have a friend who is a breeder and when he first started out he had a similar set up where he raised a little colony. With tons of live plants and many many different feeding/chilling areas he successfully had a somewhat self sufficient tank where they would breed on their own.
This will be at a later date though, nothing I am overly interested in at this time...or i am going to sell it.

@Breathing: Love the hexagon. It's similar to mine. Does it have a solid top?

Yeah, it has a very ugly textured plexi glass.

Ugly? Who cares?! It's the top! Lol. Mine has a metal "mesh" top. To hold heat & humidity, I have about 40% covered with some linoleum tile I had lying around. Those actually give me some pretty decent temp control, honestly.

Yeah, that's how I feel about it. It's really well made, though, besides being ugly. It's got two small vents that I can open and close, and it's got a hinge about half way in with a handle, so I don't have to take the whole thing off when messing with it. It latches, too.

Re: Show your vivs! Show your vivs!
Right now, the BRB Condo houses 0.3, each in either a 5- or 10-gallon tank. I'll have to upgrade those soon. I think I can fit 3 20L cages in it, but not sure. In the long run that'll probably house a Madagascan Ground Boa at some point.
When I get more (even one more, I think) BRB, I'll be forced to build a rack. I hate to do that cuz my snakes are my version of artwork. So, I'll probably keep one BRB visible. I'm thinking "Minnie" because I think she's gonna be a head-turner when she matures! Hopefully he becomes a bit more active than she is now. Anything is more than 0! Lol Cici is the only of the three I see out on occasion.

Re: Show your vivs! Show your vivs!
@Breathing: I totally missed the tiny snake head in the last picture. Looks like the plant's stamen! Lol
What did you use for the natural-like backgrounds? Are they real, or real expensive? Haha
