Re: Crocodilian?
I have a spare 10g. Jk Yes I do lots My friend who has one says they need 3x the length water and 3x land so a full grown large caiman would live comfortably in the Spare bedroom down stairs.

Chicken (not too much because the additives can affect their offspring and breeding). Live fish in the pond at times (not too much because the oil and scales can be detrimental if used in abundance). Dead fish, deer, steak, any raw meat, road kill, rabbits, bunnies or squirrels.

Re: Crocodilian?
They cap off at about 8 feet, and while they can be tamed down slightly, will never be calm, and if you touch any part of the mouth or come close for that matter, they will bite down and not let go. If you want a crocodilian that stays smaller, other kinds of caiman get sub 5 feet.

I will NEVER call her tame (she is a female) 5' Tops. I believe I am just raising him for my friend who doesn't have the time or space right now. In a few years if he decides he doesn't want him I would be glad to keep him.

Re: Crocodilian?
Has someone taught you how to handle crocodilians? It's not too tough, but if done incorrectly can turn sour fast.
At that size you don't have much to worry about, but keep in mind that some teeth will leave the mouth on the side slightly and even if the mouth is taped, if she shakes her head you risk getting your hands torn up pretty badly.
150 isn't a bad deal at all for that animal.

Re: Crocodilian?
Yea I believe he is asking quite a bit more but I sell him antiques weekly. He has four or five adults and about 14 little guys I have watched him feed and handle. They look slow and he looked comfortable but he told me NEVER feel comfortable they are Fast and unpredictable. Before I purchase her I will be staying longer on my weekly stops to get first hand tips.

Re: Crocodilian?
Alright, if you have any questions you can't get answered give me a shout, I worked with them at my last 2 jobs. I didn't specifically work with them but once or twice a week for 6 months isn't bad ![Smilie](http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif) Might be able to answer some of them.
Mouthwash is your best friend btw.
