OMG, I spit up my soda reading that...Stephan you are too much! LMAO!!!!
Rob, I'll try to get some pictures of Archie once I finish getting his stuck shed off. He's old, bony and thin. He's got some chronic nose issues- every time he goes into shed he starts wheezing and gets crusty around his lips. I have to moisten a q-tip and sit with him to work it off. I've had him examined and his saliva cultured and there's no infection- he just gets nasty when he sheds. I thought he was going to pass the last time, but then he got the shed off his face and was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as ever. He's a ton of work but generally a good-natured, curious fellow and very much loved.

Re: The "Bite Club" thread
Always nice to have new members. lol
So today i go to get my Borneo out and as soon has open the cage she pops her head out. I knew right then she was in feed mood. So my dumb-ss pulls her out and takes her up stairs. Well she nail me in the hand. Then i had to sit there for almost two minutes while she try to work her mouth off of my hand, because her teeth got caught in the back of my hand.
In the second picture the culprit is in the back ground. I held her for another
ten minute before putting her up.

Re: The "Bite Club" thread
Stunning animal, crazy pattern.
Side note: 1 drop of Listerine inside the mouth will make ANY snake let go instantly (they tend to release and strike again so watch out for that) It doesn't harm, the animal.

It wasn't that she did want to let go she couldn't. She nail me with her mouth wide open. She had to unhinge her jaw to so she could open her mouth farther and work her teeth out of my hand. Then she dug the top teeth in deeper so she could work the bottom ones out of my hand. Then she pull the top right out. The whole time i am sitting completely still so i don't hurt her. What suck was the feeling of her teeth moving around in my hand. It did hurt just felt weird.
As for her pattern she a Marble Borneo.

Re: The "Bite Club" thread
Here is a bite from this week from a rosy boa. She is a rescue and every time I handle her she bites me. She normally doesn't strike, instead she comes up to my hand smells me then latches on and constricts my hand. After a while she will let go and then it seems like she is in feeding mode. she continues to smell very closely back and forth and may or may not bit again. She does a lot of "mock" bites where she open up her mouth and acts like she is biting but doesn't sink her teeth in. Very strange behavior, in fact it if my wife holds her she doesn't bite or "mock" bite her at all. She is a rescue so I wonder if this behavior is from a previous male owner that didn't treat her well...or maybe she thinks it is entertaining...not sure.

Re: The "Bite Club" thread
Sweet bite.... sounds like handling sessions with her are fun lol. Perhaps she smells something from you that your wife doesnt have.. could be something you handle daily, or even something you eat as certain things are released in sweat.
Or perhaps theyre love bites haha.

Re: The "Bite Club" thread
I was just tagged my bcc Guyana. He is due for a feeding, I went into his tank to do a spot clean and he was under the dirt. He barley got me, it could have been a lot worse. For my first bite it was a tiny one not even worth a post but here it is anyways....
