Congratulations! They are great snakes, and not near as bad as popular opinion would lead you to believe. I have 3 and they are all tame as anything. As long as you've done your research you should be fine and have years of enjoyment.  Best of luck with the new little fellow, and I look forward to seeing pics of the color change.

Thanks for the compliments everybody. I know emeralds don't deserve the reputation they get. This little guy has been great so far even after a long trip in my car. he spent the night exploring his new home and settled in nicely. I'll post pics every now and then to show his progress.
