Question hello!

Hi,
So my intro to the world of reptiles was a little hesitant, you see I'm terrified of snakes, weird right? So my then boyfriend bought me a veiled chameleon I named The Liza, get it (riza...) anyway I loved that little dude, he never lived in a cage, we had a really cool set up for him. Anyway, sadly, one day the power went (we live in Canada and it was January) but our bedroom is always cold, so we just slept through it, when we got up Liz was really cold and on the soil at the bottom of his plant's pot. My bf picked him up and gave him some electrolytes, which was the only suggestion we got on helping him. He came to for a few moments and quietly passed away in his hands. Our hearts were broken. It's been several years since we lost our little dude and I think we might be ready to try introducing our daughters to veiled chameleons. So I thought I'd start here. We wanted to maybe try something a little new. My now, common law husband (the before mentioned boyfriend and daddy to my girls has always wanted a Jackson's or a panther chameleon, which have proven incredibly difficult to find. I was hoping to find some leads on were, in Ottawa, I might find one of these types of chameleons. Any ideas?

Re: hello!

Welcome. We actually had that happen to our iguanna. It was allowed to roam the house and we also had a power outage...she was a big girl.....at the time we lived in Thunder Bay....I'm sure you know how cold it gets there....anyways, long story short...she passing on us.
Not too sure were you can find reptiles in your area....I'm more interested in snakes nowdays. Once again...welcome to the forum.
