Shaun it would be great if we exported some on the sole purpose established and reputable breeders were the given the sole rights to these. It would also be nice if we could import some species as well.
Aphid alot of people will NOT handle elapids at all as its not necessary and extremely risky, but i believe that if you take the right steps and treat them with respect and caution they can be handled. I would not reccomend doing this if you are new to elapid keeping or not confident and dont know the right safety protocols.

Zoo's typically DON'T work with private keepers or the industry as a whole, they would rather keep them in zoo's and that's it. percey, I'm all about elapids! Anyways...beautiful animals I look forward to seeing more pics of the aussie stuff...see if you can slip a few pics of Spencers Monitors to me!!!

I know zoo's are very naive with some of the wildlife they keep. I actually dont own any monitors but some of my friends have some so i will grab some pics next time over there for you.

london zoo parted with some hatchling diamonds about 3 years ago.i'm chasing one of the males that has just come on the market,from the guy that got it originally from the zoo.its the same all over,its who you know,as the diamond guy knows one of the zoo keepers.if i get the male at least i'll know it came right from the australian government to the zoo,so the blood lines clean.

it was actually a guy from denmark that started the jag thing,we just picked it up and ran with it.i can see why you had a chuckle though percey mate,haha i'll try and get some updated pic's of my lot soon mate.i'm thinking of selling my bredl's to raise more cash to try get that male diamond...!!

Bredli are the second coolest carpet. After diamonds. I wondered if you cross a bredli with a diamond could you get a red diamond? I bet you get some wicked looking snakes.

I don't know what you'd end up with. I think it would be reddish, but would retain some diamond patterning, like what happens when you cross a diamond and a jungle. Why don't you try it and find out?

it would not produce anything spectacular in my eyes. It would not really show many characteristics of the bredli and would look mostly like a diamond, but that is just my opinion

a friend of mine prooved his male diamond with a jungle last year.the hatchlings ended up having the basic jugle pattern,head shape and eyes were diamond,took the diamonds deep black.your right percey they were nothing to write home about.but i think when he grows the holback females up and puts them back with dad they will have a lot more diamond influence and look a lot nicer.or maybe even throw them with a jag,ive seen some awsome looking diamond/jungle/jags...!!

Hi guys just thought i would throw up some pictures of one of my baby patternless tiger snakes. This little guy is starting to eat like a champion, he had to be assist fed all the way up untill a couple of weeks ago. I cant wait till the colours come out, they will be golden all over with a black/blue head. The last picture is of one of the other youngsters.

Nice snakes.

That little tiger snake is cute..haha. Austrailian wildlife is so diverse and beautiful, it's a pity, from a hobbiest perspective, that there is no exportation. On the flip side, I do agree with their policy. I like the idea of haveing liscenced herpoculturists breeding WC pairs and selling the offspring though.

Lol... I love it when they get all hissy and don't bite. My hognose throws "hissy fits" all the time but I can reach in and pick him up anyway and he wont' bite. Aren't the tiger snakes venomous- how strong is their venom on people?
