Thumbs up Hoax? It's your say

Hey, I'm getting to a conclusion that the first moon landing (by the Americans in 1969) was a hoax. Now before some (or all) of you start killing me I wanted to express the views on why I think this.

Here are a few links:

EDIT: now you can start killing me

it SEEMS to me (i could be wrong) you mostly got your information from sites that say it was a hoax.. that would influence you quite a bit.. maybe if you read some information off of a site giving details of the planning or the mission.. the construction of the shuttle.. etc, you might change your view on the subject, but not everyone will feel the same way or beleive the same things about the subject. it's your choice

I'm with Joey 100%

For anyone who is a fence sitter or remains skeptical in any way, I suggest you check out the documentary "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to The Moon", I was a fence sitter until I saw it, and regardless, it's a great and well put together film.

Moon conditions are different and absolutely alien. The Moon has no atmosphere and less gravity and these mean that things will look wierd, objects will move differently and events will have unusual consequences. If the NASA scientists hadn't sent anyone to the Moon then how would they have known for certain what the conditions were like and so, how could they have reproduced them in a hoax.
This quote in addition to the fact that this is fourty years ago, when we did not have the technology or means to produce such a hoax, is for me enough to prove this "conspiracy theory" a load of crap.

It's an amazing documentary, and it just keeps throwing things at you. I think even the biggest skeptic would have their mind changed by it, I challenge all of you skeptics to watch it and see if you still retain your original beliefs afterwords.

I think that was a hoax completely. Don't forget people, at this point in time all leading countries of the world were competing to land the first shuttle on the moon or enter outerspace.

Do you realize the magnitude and scope of this supposed conspiracy. How many hundreds of people would have to be in on this? Could they have remained silent all these years? How about espionage? The race to the moon was huge in its time, do you not think the international intelligence community would not have found out?
There are so many conspiracy theories, it's a subculture. I generally argue for this hoax argument with friends and family for kicks, but I know that logic and human nature would not allow this hoax to continue for nearly fourty years.

I saw the documentary and still think we landed on the moon...

Its simply amusing how every accomplishment man makes these days is either a HOAX or a conspiracy HEH... man is truely his/her own worst enemy

Anywho... to each their own

BTW.. anyone here been to Kennedy and watch a shuttle or rocket launch?

I did and I tell ya.. was a very moving experience... Almost religeous (and Im not a religeous guy)... the power of those rockets is just unbelieveable... makes the air shake...

Edit: Lisa, yes with good telescopes you can see stuff left over... I know we have mirrors set up there from back then that we still use for measurements using lasers...

With a good telescope you're supposed to be able to see the stuff left over on the moon.

And JFK is still alive. That's why the CIA snuffed Maryln Monroe. Elvis blew his brains out with a shotgun, but the media thought that the amphetamine angle sounded better, and Yoko Ono was the one who contracted the hit on John Lenon.

Does that about cover it?
