Suggestion
Have you ever typed up a long reply, hit "post" just to see that you've been logged out.
Then there is hope, as you can log back in again, and you think maybe your post will be saved.
But, by doing that, you've lost the whole 7 minutes of typing you just did.
I have learned to hit copy and paste before I hit submit when I've been typing for a while. But I have also lost many posts this way.
I realize the time-out function is important, but would it be possbile for the forum to remember where you were when you log back in. If not, then a message saying "you've logged out, click the back bar, and copy your long winded post, so when you log in again, you can paste it".
Maybe someone from the Mod team could look into this please
Ryan

I never get logged out. Maybe you have a "log off" option checked on the site or on your internet connection.
Losing 7 minutes worth of typing sure does suck though.

I've never, never ever heard of this problem or experienced it before. It does suck though. I'll ask around...

Hey, I have done it many times, It drives me nuts, luckily I learnt to copy before hitting submit, also what I do now is type it out in word then copy paste it into the forum. It does suck when I forget to do it though and lose al my hard work.
As a side note I have found a trick to beating the "log out" system, and by posting it I may ruin it for myself but why not, when you come onto the site don’t log on to the main page, click on gallery and log in there, you will not get logged off, you can actually even shut the internet browser and then reopen it go back to the site and you’ll still be logged on, How’s that for knowing this site inside out lol.
Devon
Edit: I should mention if you chose to ever use my “gallery log in” trick the only way to get logged off again is to again log off in the gallery, logging off on the main page wont work.

The cookies on my computer must be turned on (whatever that means... I know jack about computers.) because whenever I come to the site I am already logged on, and the other computers that I use also keep me logged on whenever I come to the site (at work and at my cousins place)
Hmmm

I've checked my settings.
Sheila is on the same computer as I, this might be why I don't stay logged in - not sure. Maybe others without this problem are set to auto log on or something, so it doesn't do this.
When I hit the back button, after logging in again, my typed message is lost to me.
Oops, almost forgot to copy this message incase it got lost again.

What I hate is that I've been typing fast before and for some reason when I quickly go up to delete (backspace button) it is like I clicked 'back' on the computer and I lose everything that I was typing.

RYAN:
I had that happen a few times but 7 minutes to me is a few sentences......lol, takes me longer to type.
I just write posts on WORD and copy paste after to save that hassle now.
Cya...
