Here are some funny buggers... cave crickets... taken inside Mamoth Cave (Kentucky)...
Those first ones are taken with infra-red because it is almost complete darkness down there...

This picture is taken with another option on my camera combined with the flash, making it possible to capture colors in almost complete darknest... I was surprised of the results... I had a close up also, but it turned out blurry...

Nice pics Martin!
Mammoth Caves is a great place to visit, I have really enjoyed myself the few times I have been there.
Last time I was there, I found a Copperhead and a 5-lined Skink by the food area (there's a restaurant and a gift shoppe there, it was under the foot-bridge that I found them).
Here are some pics from the "Frozen Niagara" cave route (300 feet underground I believe):
Cheers,
Ryan

He he, nice to see you have been there also!
Yes you are right, it is about 300 feet under ground... the grand avenue tour it is called... 4 miles hike for about 4h30minutes under ground... pretty neet, I liked it a lot...
Next time I am going, I am going for the Wild Cave tour... 6 hours of crawling into tight tunnels and climbing!
There was a rattle snake, but I missed it, I wish I could have taken a pic of it...
Take care
Martin

Me too! I think there's a lesson that you must take before that tour, but I think it would be awesome. Spelunking is fun! Gotta love that word.
Cheers,
Ryan the Spelunker
