New mammal friend
Well I am a lame new cat poster now. I don't even like cats but last night we met this little fellow. Around 11-12 we hear some crying and scratching at our door. We see this small cat dying to get inside our house, even though our two adult cats are inside throwing hissy fits at the window. We go outside and immediatly this cat is all over us, rolling over so we could pet his belly, standing on his hind legs, etc. I have never ever met such a friendly laid back cat. He was quite thin and very cold. Anyways we put out a box and blanket for him and my roomates and I decided that if he was still there in the morning it was a sign and we would try and help him. We couldn't bring him in overnight because we did not want to risk our other cats health.
This morning at around 7 we go outside and sure enough our new friend comes running to us. He gulped down huge amounts of food and water and was just being a total suck for attention. We couldn't help but love this little guy so this morning it was off to the vet for worming, needles and some treatment for a large injury on his back, and ear mites.

Isn't that the best way to get a new pet? When they come to you!

Congrats Marisa -- he looks awesome, and sounds like a big sweetheart! And good for you for giving him a second chance at life Unlike our friend Matt there....

Matt- Today is your birthday so maybe it's a sign, your birthday, cats end up on my doorstep....better not happen every year.
LOL Iculizard- He better NOT be a Maine Coon! I don't have enough space for that size cat! LOL

Here's another lame cat
Our youngest, named Calamity.
A farm supply business got her as a mouser but she was too affectionate and they were afraid she'd get killed following the staff around. So we took her in.
She is a major pain in the buttocks.

Who could resist a face like that! Cats aren't stupid, they really know when to turn on the charm.

Very cute kitty, but doesn't look like a Maine Coon at all! The short hair kills that idea.
We have three cats ourselves, except the third one we're sorta baby sitting. I think once she goes, we'll get another. We're confirmed cat lovers.

Thanks I think he is really cute too!
So far he has to be seperated from the rest of the animals (two other cats and one dog) until we are sure he is healthy and he gets fixed, vet said two weeks should be safe. We also treated all the mammal pets here for ear mites to prevent this cats ear mites spreading. But everything is great! It's a shame how many strays are out there.
