Wow... What a MOVIE!
We went to see [Passion of the Christ today.
What a movie!!!!
It was the most realistic movie I have ever seen. It was a very hard movie to watch. Mel didn't leave one thing out of this picture. I don't think there was a dry eye in the theatre (including us). It was one of the most amazing movies... We loved the movie Lord of the Rings, but this movie really made it seem like ur in it. Has anyone else seen it yet? What did u all think about it?

The thing about this movie it didn't seem like it had anything to do with religion. For anyone to say its all about religion better go see the film before they say things about it.
When we first say the sub titles, we were not sure if we were going to like if and be able to follow it. It actually put us in the middle of the movie... I don't know how but it added to the movie.
We aren't trying to upset anyone, we saw it and just couldn't believe how amazing the movie was.

I was watching CNN today and they said the movie will most likely prompt a lot of fighting between jews and cath/christians in Eurpope.
But I would like to see it for myself, lol it would kind of be my hour and a half education of jesus and what went on seeing as I never really went to church.

How funny is it that the actor playing Jesus (Jim Caviezel) was struck by lightning while on set during the filming of The Passion of the Christ? I take that as being a bad review, but I'll have to see for myself.....

I'd suggest dropping the subject right now before someone gets offended. This is clearly a matter of religion in the worst way.

Someone ALWAYS gets offended.
What I'd like to see in theaters is a movie called "Relax"

Thank you Marisa, well said. This is just a review on a GREAT movie. If people want to say this is about religion without watching the move, then go ahead.I don't mean to offend anyone.I simply wanted people to know that it is a well made movie, and don't judge it as a RELIGIOUS movie without seeing it.
P.S. If anything this movie is about judging one another, which someone has already done in a PM too myself.

Moive subjects aren't banned... Religious topics are... this movie sparked huge problems in the political world and I'm sure this will get deleted or locked, but realistically, its just a movie, I dont understand whats the deal about it all. JeffT, you mention jews arguing vs. producers. This is because some jews believe that the movie is anti semitist. Its a movie, all religions and nationalities get punked in movies. Lest face it. Big deal.

Wuntu; chill out no one has offended anyone. The movie looks great, and I look forward to seeing it. I'm terribly curious to see how Mel made this movie about the topic in question fairly non-religious and more a personal piece.

I think its amazing that he put up 25 million of his own cash on the line to make this movie happen.

I was sent a pm on this thread....as of right now, i don't see any infractions of the TOS here. As long as this is kept to a movie review and we don't step outside that boundary...this thread stays imo.
I also want to see this movie, ive heard so much about it, i guess its just got my attention now. Ive heard the acting setting etc is very interesting. I had no idea it was subtitles, i love movies like that...im a fan of foreign films so this will be interesting. Im curious as to Mel Gibson's interpretation of this venture....so thumbs up so far i see...sounds like this is something to do this weekend.

I believe Travolta went to great financial lengths to make his epic Battlefield Earth to honor his dear departed saviour too. An equally believable plot IMO.
Sorry kids, I'm seething with rage right now. Chill out...I think not. The only thing offending me more than the fact that the film was made is the fact that its found its way here. Unfortunately, Shane's right. I searched the TOS chapter and verse and couldn't find the specifics I was looking for. No apologies though, you all know that this is pure religious propoganda.
Should things escalate, I've got a smoker of an essay composed that's guaranteed to get me banned from this site forever.

From what i can see, so far people are just talking about how they would like to see the movie. No one has even brought the 'Religion' aspect into the thread, aside from yourself.. As for your last comment, you know, we don't have to wait until you give us your essay.. That is, if you want so badly to be banned..
