Newbie from Victoria BC! Hello!!
Hi everyone!

I'm brand spankin new here and thought I would introduce myself!
My name is Nicole, and I live in Victoria BC, Canada.

I have always been a HUGE snake lover, since I was a wee one.. but alas I have only ever had garter ( sp?) snakes. When I was about 10 years old I was introduced to my very first Ball Python, named Julius Squeezer I fell instantly in love with the snake and his easy going temperment. He belonged to a friend of my mom's and when ever we would visit I would get to play with him. Since then I have longed for one of my own, but was never allowed to get one. So over the years I have stuck to the garden variety pets...dogs,cat,fish,hamsters,guinea pigs,rats,horses, iguanas...you know.. every thing but a beloved BP.

I moved out on my own a year ago and thought.. "yes! I can finally get a ball python!"....but I made the mistake of mentioning it to my land lord and the idea got instantly shot down

But I now live else where.. and have decided...what my land lord doesn't know won't hurt them o> I just have to make sure that it never escapes

So I have come here to converse with other Ball Python lovers, find out as much as I can, make friends, and hopefully will soon have myself my very own BP!!

Please do not get your ball python from a pet store in victoria I have yet too find one that is well taken care of or cb in the city. Just ask Maiden Canada he knows all too well. Contact Don Patterson or Jeff Favelle they both live in Victoria and either one of them could sell you a fantastic animal.

Hi Morph,

No worries! I wasn't planning on it . I have emailed Jeff Favelle today to see what he has, I have also contacted some breeders on the mainland.

Thanks for the heads up though.
So do you Victorians have ball pythons too? Where did you get yours from?

Hi Nicole, welcome to the site! Great to meet someone else from Victoria... I have 2 bps myself, one I got when I was living in Ontario, the other I got from Jeff I'd highly recommend him, he's got awesome animals, great service, and is just a generally awesome guy to deal with! Don's great too, although I've never dealt with him personally, and there's several good breeders over on the mainland...

When moving into apartments I've said "I've got some animals that live in tanks. " and at least here, they were OK with that.

Yeah get stuff from either Jeff or Don. Both have great stock and real nice service~
I have gotten stuff from both of them before and the service of both of them is just amazing!
Both very nice people with great advice and service. I'd highly recommand the two.
