My New Baby Girl!!
Here are pictures of Nefertiti, my first ever blood python, a gift from my wonderful girlfriend Erin who is, of course, watching me type this...
Here's the blood python:
She is originally from Henry Piorun, and is the most puppy dog tame blood python I have ever seen. Anyway, I'm very happy to have her.

That is really fabulous! Wonderful girlfriend indeed - looks like you got yourself a couple of keepers! Congrats on your blood - they are truly rewarding animals to keep.

Yes, I am very lucky to have a girlfriend that is just as enthusiastic about herps as I am, and who realizes that the best gifts in the world are those that the receiving party is going to absolutely love.
It seems this blood is a shy feeder. I wanted to give her 3 adult mice last night, but she wouldn't strike at a dangled mouse. I had to leave it in her enclosure overnight. Isn't that precious? She's such a sweet snake, she won't even strike at a mouse.

beautiful addition! its funny how their bodies start out soo small with awkwardly huge heads and then as adults have big plump bodies with miniscule little heads........this species looks as if a voodoo head shrinking spell has befallen them!lol gotta love em!!
