Is there a cham that can live in a 22 gallon rept, and does not require a heat lamp?

i am looking for a cham to put into max's 22 gallon reptarium after he is moved into his adult cage .. i am in no hurry, i am looking for the next year of so
any suggestions on a species that can live in a 22 gal, with only a uv lamp? i am looking for something really interesting and that wont cost me a ton of money .. also would be great if the cham is 'readily' available on the marketplace

Correct me if im wrong, but wouldnt a chameleon, being aboreal, NEED a heat lamp?

moutain species do not necessarily need a heat lamp .. if they do however, it is a low whattage (which IS ok)

I'm thinking the small cage isn't the problem. Just the heat lamp. I'm sure you could get some sort of dwarf cham in there.... hell a local pet store that I visited today had a juvi (maybe sub-adult) jackson's in a tiny reptarium.

By no means whatsoever does something a petstore does make it right. Infact, in MOST cases, what petstores are doing is EXACTLY what you SHOULDN'T be doing.

i agree with thegino - i wasnt looking for a large cham at all .. i was thinking a small small cham of some sort .. maybe a ch. rudis

Jeff, not all chameleons are aboreal bud

But seeing as no chameleon lives in Canada, the temperatures would obviously need to be altered to tend to their needs, matching that of their homeland. That would make sense, anyways. Sure, you could heat the whole house up, but then there wouldn't be a gradient

Just to add a point here I had a rudis cham and they require very high humidity i found that i had to use a glass/screaned enclosure to keep the humidity anywhere neer ok, and i that many other dwarf or small chams require almost the same just something too keep in mind unless your willing to keep the humity extremely high in you bed room.

thegino. I wasn't saying "if they can do it, you can do it" I was just pointing out that if they can fit(comfortabley or not) a jackson's, then I'm sure you could comfortabley fit one of the smaller species.

Remember too... just because the species itself may be small... it doesn't mean that they need or want a small space.

after begging .. i can get anything that can live in a cage 18x24x48 or smaller .. and a heat lamp is a ok (i guess chams are wearing off on my parents afteralll

)

having said that .. any suggestions? interesting is the main factor ... colour too, but more interesting ... i am thinking something like werner's but i got a little while to decide

let me know what you ould do in my situation

Oh man... if I could have any cham right about now (in terms of interesting) I think I'd get a meller's. I know they seem so plain but I just love them. So powerful looking.
