Insulation?

Hello all! I am a very new member, but I’d like to know about insulating a ball python enclosure (wooden, not a glass aquarium). I plan on custom making this enclosure myself. How would I insulate this, for the harsh northeast winters that I must go through? There’s a slight possibility of being able to bring the snake into the house, but it is very unlikely. I may have a relative that I could possibly bring it to, as they also have a snake (during the winter I mean), so that’s two possible leeway’s if I have to. But back to the initial question, how could I insulate a wooden (with a plexi front panel) enclosure for the colder days of the year? Any help is greatly appreciated.
