New cage fixture... is a light fixture?

I recently found this cool light fixture at a local craft store on clearance, and immediately thought of jungle gym. What are your thoughts? concerns? my biggest worry is that it might rust, but it seems like it has a spray finish on it. I washed it well, and made sure it has no sharp edges. Thanks

Add some sort of metal mesh or screen to the inside of the "cage" and it would be a great cover for a ceramic heat emitter inside an enclosure.

Personally I feel that the wire is too small/narrow to provide comfortable support for a snake’s weight. I’d prefer something with more heft/wider diameter.
