I feel your pain JR. My S/O gave me a tough time in the beginning too. Bribery worked well for me . You have to soften them up a little first before springing the new critter news on them. Date nights, flowers, foot rubs, a little extra help around the house. Those things go a long way. You have to be subtle about it though because it can't look like a bribe. And then when she's nice and comfy in her happy place that's when you poor on the charm and break out the puppy dog eyes and gently ask, "Honey, can I get a new snake?" It's tough for them to say no when the honey do list is done and you've gone a little above and beyond. It can get progressively more expensive though. I've had to take a trip to the beach and buy a plane ticket to NY for her to visit a friend just to get my last two new snakes. All well that ends well though. Good luck bud!

Lol. Bribery is how I got my snake, waiting about a year before I speak of getting another. (So it is less obvious)

I actually WISH my fiancé wasn't into reptiles, then I would have some form of self control (maybe). We enable each other lol.. but it is nice to have a hand with maintenance and be able to share the excitement with one another
