Smile rats vs mice?

My corn and my KSB are currently eating mice and know i have found someone who sells F/T rats would it better for the snakes? Would they be able to make the switch?

Re: rats vs mice?

Not really a case of better for the snake, but might be better for you one way or the other. Is one cheaper? Easier to keep a steady supply? More convenient? Some snakes switch quite easily, others can be a huge pain to switch. It's really just up to you whether to make the switch, especially since both of those snakes stay pretty small their whole lives.

Re: rats vs mice?

I would say that it's not necessary to switch either of these snakes since as was stated earlier, these snakes stay relatively small and can live their entire lives on mice. Now for me, all of my adult Corns and most of my baby Corns are now on rats but they don't have to be in order to be satisfied. The rats I get are more readily available and are tamer than the mice so my bottom line is convenience but either can do depending on your situation.
