Talking Crested Gecko

So I was wondering if anyone knew where I could buy live plants (online or garden centers etc.) I just got my Crested I was looking at Camelia Japonica (think thats what they are called) I want something that is obviuosly not harmful but also easy to maintain!

Thanks in advance everyone!

Also I still need to name my little guy so if anyone has a name throw it out there! He is a High Contrast! Beautiful little guy!

Re: Crested Gecko

Garden centers are okay but you need to make sure you wash the leaves of all of your plants really well because most places don't know whether the plants they are selling you have come in contact with pesticides. These pesticides can be harmful for reptiles.

Pothos is a great reptile safe plant that is really easy to maintain and is usually pretty common. I like Snake Plants and Bromeliads for geckos specifically because of their large, stiff leaves.

Re: Crested Gecko

Just saw this thread. Camellia japonica is a small tree growing 6m (20 ft) tall. Must be one heck of a viv!

Re: Crested Gecko

I give all plants a good spray-down in the shower, then remove most of the soil and add my own new and safe soil.

I have
Pothos
Dracaena
Mini Parlour Palm
Air Plant

do NOT get Crotons or Dieffenbachia. Dangerous plants that can get poisonous sap on your lizard.
