First snake

Well my first snake arrived today. Male motley corn from BHB Reptiles. I named him Dobby (from Harry Potter). Setup is Exo-Terra terrarium 24x18x12, 40 watt RBI RHP. Gradient runs from ~72F-84F. Substrate is paper towels, will be changed to Repti-Bark after I'm sure he's healthy. He's a bit shy so I'm letting him settle in so pics aren't great.

Yes I'm thinking so. I think carpet pythons seem very interesting.

Nice corn! I really like the dark red he has, very nice! Your corn would be a good mate for mine

Re: First snake

Sweet. I too started with 1 and it quickly became a very addictive lifestyle. Remember 1 key thing before jumping into things...knowledge is key! 2 of my snakes were rescues from people who didn't know what they were doing and while their intentions were good, their knowledge was lacking.

Congrates on your new pet and any future scaled friends which may slither their way into your home.

Re: First snake

nice little motley u have there!

Just a little Inside because it’s your first little snake... if u ever get up and u don’t find your snake in his cage.. Check behind the back deco... it’s the only problem whit an exo terra they get behind that and makes us panic the first time.

Happen to most of us i would say!
