Sick collared, help needed.

I got a collared lizard that is quite sick (Wild Caught). I am going to take a fecal when if goes next, and i am probably going to panacur and flagyl it. I am setin gup a cage with newspaper, basking spot, retreat and a water dish. A few questions. i heard they eat vegitation, do they? Is 115f a good temp for the hot spot? And are there any other tips for getting a WC collared healthy? Here are some pics that i just took of him/her.

Thanks,

Kyle

Sorry, I don't know anything about collareds. I hope he/she gets healthy.
If you don't mind me asking... What kind of camera did you take those pictures with? They're nice shots.
Good luck Kyle.

Keep him nice and hot, like you're doing with the 115F hot-spot, treat the flagyl, as I believe that is of use for general parasitic infections, and get the poor emaciated little dude to a vet as soon as you can, or you can say "hello freezer"...
As far as vegetation goes, to the best of my knowledge, I am under the impression that collards are strict insectivores eating anything and everything that moves *if they are healthy*. If you want to keep his energy levels up, try treating him with vitamin fortified baby food (fruit based purees), or Pedialyte *electrolyte solution used to keep babies hydrated during times of diarhea<spelled wrong, available at ShoppersDrugMart etc* and good luck.

I say the above "hello freezer" comment as a figure of speech and in no way endorse the use of freezing to euthanize herps.

Thanks. I found pinworms in its crap (not suprising) so i am treating with panacur. I will keep doing fecals whenever it decides it wants to deficate, and i am expecting some other nice little suprises, so i have flagyl on hand. That pedialyte was the stuff i have been trying to remember, i went through all of my books, magazines and spent a few hours on the internet looking for what it was. What a long brain fart! Thanks for mentioning that!

The good liquid stuff comes from mexico, and i cant seem to find it anywhere. But the normal stuff you may be able to get at your vet, but i buy it from the states. Try any reptile suply company.
