Feeding Giblets - Yum (gross)

Before anyone comments, you all know that these lizards get a well rounded balanced diet. One plate of turkey guts is not going to throw anything out of balance.... Now on to the pictures.

Cera does a tripod for a giblet.

littlefoot covered in mud..

Littlefoot tearing up the giblets..

Cera chowed down too...

Just look at that profile...

Let's see a fat Savannah Monitor do a yoga move like this one!

They will get giblets again on Christmas, then we don't buy a whole turkey again until next year.

Yes, they ate the neck... the windpipe looked like macaroni.

so do you think it would be safe to feed the mix breed? Hes about their size albeit his head isnt as broad as theirs. If I cut it up I would imagine he could eat it.

I think offering the giblets is a great idea!!! organ tissues are a great source of nutrients whether you're a reptile or mammal, and the neck is a great source of chondroitin (helps keep joints healthy).

Just picked up a package of chicken organs, $1 a pound.

I have a few thawing out, pictures in a little while.

Of course, they will always get their bugs, worms and rats along with it...

Wayne.. do you have anyone near you that slauters their own animals? ( cows, pigs ext) That would be a good way to get some treats for your guys.. I know of a few places that give stuff to a guy down in mass with a few savs.
