water safty

so i finally hooked up my downstairs water faucet, and was wondering how long i should let it run, you know, to help clean it, run anything out oof the pipes?

It is a downstairs in the basement, hasnt been ran for about 2 yrs or so..

any help would be great!

I have no idea how long you should run it but I'll bump the thread so maybe some of the others will notice it and respond

thanks, i ran it for like 5 min... but just want to see... i plan on using it for watering them, and misting...

Fill a gallon jug and look at it. If the water looks rusty or nasty in any way then run it for another 5-10 minutes. If it looks clear I would say it is good to go.

good to know, thanks so much!!! it will be so much easier filling water, and misting cages!
