hydrometer Placement

Hi All,
where should I be placing my hydrometer? I currently have it resting on top of the substrate, but it is giving me a low reading. Should I be placing this on the glass a little higher?

You want to take measurements at the level that the snake is at. no good the humidity being right half way up the tank unless the snake can levitate

I definitely want one of those snakes! Are they breeding them in captivity yet?

Ya, Rob is right though, put the probe at the level of wherever the snake is most often. Depending on what you are using for substrate, that is often the highest humidity level anyway.
