Getting bit

I have been keeping herps for 3years which is not a long time and I have yet to be really bit. My lacertas bite me all the time and I've been mouthed by my bullsnake but I have never been struck and it makes me nervous lol

That's weird right?

The fact that you worry about an event that is unlikely to occur is a little weird, yes. If it hasn't happened yet you are obviously doing something right.

The only chainsaw I have is my ammie which is hilarious because he strikes almost constantly and i always seem to luck out because he misses me

My kingsnake will do false bites - he'll strike but not open his mouth and bonk me with his nose.

The most aggressive creature I have is my baby leopard gecko (3 months old). As soon as I walk up to her enclosure, she'll come out of her hide veeeeeeery slowly and her tail will change colors (white/black to bright orange and white). If I put my hand in to say, grab her water bowl or her food bowl to clean/restock - if I don't get in and out with my hand quickly, she'll go into attack mode and start repeatedly biting. I've had her for a month and a half and the only time I've picked her up was the day I brought her home to transfer her from her deli cup to her enclosure. Never even tried other than that - she's too bitey!

My Everglade Rat Snake hatchling is a biter, but he's only cage defensive. Once you pick him up he's fine and can be handled with ease. But he might get you three times while you take him out of the enclosure. Yet he's so small that you either don't feel anything or just a tickle.

Hope he'll calm down eventually or I'll have to invest in my first snake hook.

I can say i went 8 years without being bit by any of my various snakes, but over the last few months, my Kenyan Sand Boas have been getting me caught up on all the bites i've missed.....
