This snake eats hotdogs! Say what?

This is about a Milk, but I wanted to make sure everyone would see it...

I am always looking for a snake to catch my eye, or a good price on a snake, and just looking through CraigsList this morning I found this post:

"Apricot Pueblan Milksnake trained to eat hotdogs! no yucky mice! Aproximately 12 -15 inches long
Snake with enclosure - rehoming service fee of $50
Call or text for more info"

I'm not interested in this snake, but....

Uhh, has anyone ever heard of this? Obviously the snake needs mice, but I've never heard of anyone feeding a snake a wiener. Does anyone have a horror story or more information on this? I think this is a horrible idea, and I'd like to e-mail this person and explain I think it's a horrendous idea, but I'll hold my tongue...

Well... there used to be snake sausages on the market, but they weren't just regular hot dogs. They're not even good for people, and I'm sure as heck not going to give one to my snake.

Well, who knows if they mean actual hotdogs or snake sausages, but unless snake sausages are not 'yucky' like mice, they might be referring to human hot dogs...Which could be why the snake is 12-15 inches - maybe it's been on this diet and is slowly starving. I hope they're snake sausages, but...well. Without more facts its just speculations -shrugs-

He probably meant that the snake sausage is less yucky to handle and deal with than a frozen mouse, which is true...

On YouTube, a guy has a false water cobra that's trained to eat hotdogs,so this doesn't surprise me.

Whoa this is true. I Googled snake eats hotdog before I posted it, and found nothing but upon going to youtube and putting in "False Water Cobra east hotdog" - S.o.b if it wasn't there, lol. I've never heard of snake sausages, but even if that is what this Milk is eating, does that provide the sustenance needed to sustain the snake?

A diet of hot dogs in humans is supposed to be worse than smoking cigarettes, this sounds so awful...

...yet I would still like to see it...

Re: This snake eats hotdogs! Say what?

Seriously. I feel so bad for it....All those artificial fillers and things... unless you butcher something fresh and make it into a natural 'hot dog' out of prey materials (with bone and such included..) this is just wrong.

I mean... why on earth would someone even consider feeding a predator something like this??

Another willfully ignorant snake owner..... I mean if you can post vids on youtube, you can do the required homework for owning a snake!
