New member... hello
so i found this site, and thought i could always use some tips, and help... as well as meet some other herp fanatics. names josh, i currently have a 5-6 month old frilled lizard, and my newest baby is what i believe to be a 4-5 month ornate water monitor.
i mainly joined because i would love to get some insight on some tips on my monitor, the frillie is pretty calm (although loves to be a little *** everynow and then) the monitor does great when picked up, shes a little flighty for the first few seconds, but calms right down with me. my main concern with her is anytime i walk by her cage she seems so scared and will bury herself, or duck under and into her water section. anyone got some ideas on how i could help ease her with not being so shakey when someomne walks by?
other then that good to be here, hope to talk to a few of ya.

Re: New member... hello
please post about your monitor in our Varanids section.

Welcome. How do you have your monitor set up? By the way, you shouldn't pick your monitor up. If you want a handleable animal, research a bit on the tong feeding method.
