There are two, both visable in the picture. And yes, they are vines.

The one with more black / white flecks is harder to see, I'm searching and I still don't spot it... maybe making the picture it's original size will help..

The male is at the top (obvious one). The female is poking her head out just left of the log in the bottom right corner.
The male and female are actually both the same color. When vine snakes get angry, they puff up, revealing the black and white checkered marks in between their green scales.

I got them at a local reptile store.
Oh! I forgot to tell you guys the story! The male peed in my husband's eye! It was AWESOME.
