I'm still messing with substrates.

I had a bag of this tossed in with an enclosure I bought a year ago. Decided to toss it into my gopher snakes viv. She is an Applegate Albino so I wanted her on a dark substrate anyway.


So I used mostly forest bed barely soaked enough to be damp and put aspen where her hides are so she can choose her humidity.

Careful with the Aspen being against something humid, It can mold very easily. Otherwise it looks good.

I agree with Kat aspen molds easily... Especially if it is under her hide on top of moisture...
