Moving during shed?

I apologize for another moving thread but Zeus, my baby BRB, decided to go into shed and I'm moving 7 hours away tomorrow. I know there's nothing I can really do since I can't postpone the move and I am not leaving him behind...

But is there anything I can/should do to make it less stressful? Poor baby... As if 7 hour drive wasn't gonna be stressful enough -_-

This is probably a shot in the dark, but I figured I'd ask anyway...

Re: Moving during shed?

Keep him in a secure setup (the pillowcase, whatever you're going to use for the trip), keep it dark, and maybe offer a damp towel in there to keep humidity up as much as you can during the trip.

Re: Moving during shed?

I just got a thought that maybe I'll put his repti shelter in a tub so that I can keep humidity up without getting the pillowcase wet? And keep a spray bottle handy...

Good plan - the smaller the containment during moving, the better. As long as he can curl up in a dark spot for the trip, you're laughing. I'd forego the idea of keeping the humidity up for the trip though - an open window or a slight draft for a trip that long with a wet snake could easily spell disaster. It's not going to perish from not having high humidity during that time
