Inconsistency in Snake Laws

I got to think about this and as far as Iowa is concerned, Anacondas, Retics and African Rocks are illegal but Amethistines, Burms and Indian Rocks are legal. One of the glaring questions is aside from the pattern how do Indian Rocks differ from African Rocks?

A member on here has a signature that I believe is " The fastest way for a government to lose control of something is to prohibit it" It wasn't exactly that but you get the gist!!

Re: Inconsistency in Snake Laws

Unfortunately Shaun its a lot of the ignorant people in the US that the politicians listen to before they decide to make new laws or change existing laws. I blame lack of knowledge on the topic and unfounded fear of snakes. Why couldn't Satan have appeared to Adam and Eve as unicorn or something?!? Lol
