Hey Everyone,

It’s hard to believe that this year marks our 9th Arachnoparty event! The past 8 have been a blast and we’re happy to announce the details for 2012!

I have slowed down business due to the busyness associated with our growing family, so my available stock will be limited, however, there has been a lot of interest in placing another true spider import. If I can get together enough pre-orders to do an import (true spiders, centipedes, oddball species and tarantulas) then I’ll do one especially for the event. Please contact me ASAP if you’re interested in participating in the import as arrangements need to be made quickly to make the cut off. If you cannot attend the event but are still interested in an import, shipping will be available.

Participants are welcome to bring Invertebrates, Reptiles and Amphibians to trade, sell or just show off!

Guests are invited to arrive any time after 12PM and the event will go into the evening. Guests are encouraged to bring food/drinks to share and those staying in the area for the evening are welcome to meet for drinks and appetizers in town later that night. There will be no entry fees this year, but food and drink donations are welcome.

The event will be held at 3250 Shetler Drive in Westbank (West Kelowna), BC which is just a few minutes outside of Kelowna. If you are planning an overnight trip, please be sure to arrange your accommodations well in advance as Kelowna books up quickly in the summertime.

Hey Everyone!

I’m extremely pleased to announce that Stan Schultz, renown co-author of The Tarantula Keepers Guide, will be attending this year!

Stan will also be giving a presentation (topic to be decided) and be available to answer your questions about the hobby. This is your opportunity to meet a pioneer of the hobby! We’re trying to arrange to have some copies of The Tarantula Keepers Guide available so come and get your signed copy!

On a similar note, if anyone is interested in doing a presentation on a specific topic (breeding success with a specific species, hobby tips/tricks, enclosure ideas etc) please let me know and we can make the arrangements. A great part of this event is meeting face to face and being able to share our experiences!
