Enclosure for Woma
I've never personally had a Woma before, and though I do have an "acquaintance" who has had a Woma for a couple years now, I don't think I feel comfortable asking him about the snake and it's requirements at the moment. I am starting to collect the items I need to have to bring the snake home but I'm having an issue finding a viv that I like. That person that owns his Woma has it in an 85 gallon tank that is 19"x50" top, 25" high. I've known that with most snakes, having a tank that is too big can be as bad sometimes as having a tank that is too small. I recently found one of my friends who had a collection of animals and is actually getting rid of a tank that is almost that size. Would it be too big for a Woma? I likely wouldn't keep the Woma in there as a young snake, but once it grows a little more would that be too large? I haven't completely decided on the substrate yet (I'm used to using clean newspaper[unprinted] with my snakes, but if I have this larger tank I'm considering using a different substrate to be able to take up a little more space, and something likely that would hold humidity and heat a little more at least on the one side since I have heard Woma's are used to hotter temperatures at least on the hot side.
I've been doing research on Woma's but any added information would be greatly appreciated!
