Might as well start some profile threads and compile my pictures all in one spot. Gotta start with the number one, so for me it's Maru! I'm not going to bore anyone with the personal details. He's a male 07 captive hatched ball python, that I bought at a petstore here in Kelowna. He's been a dream snake since day one, couldn't ask for more. He's converted many people scared of snakes, into even wanting their own. He only eat's 6 months of the year, and actually just had his first meal since November 14th, two days ago. I always start the year off for him with a soft fur, after that he eats what ever I give him until the next fast. A very interesting behaviour to watch happen, now 4 years in a row. Saves on food

Not many ball pythons let you get this close without moving or balling up...

Re: Profile: Maru

I love it, saves good money and he doesn't lose a gram! I've timed it pretty well now, and all it takes a soft fur in the spring to get him started again. He just finished digesting one this week, next week I'll give him a rat instead and go from there. It's awesome if you don't let it stress you out
