Re: River shrimp
Fluker's is a well known herp food supplier, I doubt that would have phosphates in it.
Is there an "ingredients" section on the label.

Re: River shrimp
I found this...
Quote:
Name: Fluker's Gourmet-Style River Shrimp
Ingredients: River Shrimp
Location: Petco
Price: 4.99/1.2 oz can
I was walking through my local Petco when I saw a sign in the reptile section that read "20% off all reptile food". Yay! So after looking and rejecting much of what was there I came across this can of river shrimp. The ingredient list passed muster. No strange additived, not packed in salt, no preservatives. It peaked my interest so I brought it home with me.

Re: River shrimp
Hmm, interesting. I buy their fruits, but I haven't tried their other stuff. Let me know how Cassie likes it.

Re: River shrimp
Update on cassie
She tasted one, and then that was it! She didn't like it and didn't want to try no more.
I'm wondering if I can try feeding them in my bearded dragons salad?

Re: River shrimp
Im just guessing, but I think these probably get packaged in nitrogen, or some other gas, to keep them from decomposing. That might be why they 'taste bad' to your monitor

Re: River shrimp
Nope it's all natural. It's a solid product by them

Re: River shrimp
Nitrogen gas is natural, and as its not technically an ingredient, they arent required to list it. Its just considered packaging. But unless it was vacuum sealed, then there was some form of gas added to the can. Otherwise you would have some pretty gross looking rotten shrimp in there when you opened it.
