Meal worms?

So I was wondering if anyone had experience breeding meal worms! Right now I have them in a container with oatmeal. Also what is the best way to harvest them is it worth breeding them

Re: Meal worms?

They're pretty simple to breed, just remember that they're the larvae stage of a beetle, so they aren't able to breed until they become full grown beetles. Also, mealworms are like crickets, they're only as good as what you feed them. So add that calcium rich mix I told you about to those oats so they're more nutritious for your lizards! Let me know if you need the recipe again

Re: Meal worms?

i was breeding them for awhile, but for a sav they are way to tiny, i ended up just feeding the entire colony to him one day :P and that was the end of the 6 months breeding project.
