Hello.
Hi, new to the forum, and new to reptiles in general.
I joined so I could see attached images in some viv build threads.
I guess if I have to post an intro thread I may as well give some background. I have always wanted a reptile, all through my childhood to now, as a 24 year old university student.
I have a friend with a beardie and know another couple who has a large herp collection. So I am not completely green as far as general handling, husbandry, and experience goes.
I was planning on a uromastyx for a long time, but gave that up due to space and mobility concerns. The enclosure size needed would be too big to move around and possibly cram into a tiny apartment with grad school and a city move looming around the corner. Then I thought, hey, snakes need way less room. So now I am interested in a plan old regular Ball Python. Will be building a 3' x 1.5'x 1.5' plywood enclosure for it.
So yeah. That's me. I'll just go back to lurking now.

Hey, welcome to sSNAKESs! Yeah, sorry, as part of the group, you will be graded on your participation in class. Jk
We've got a lot of people here with a lot of experience with a lot of reptiles, so fire off some questions!

Re: Hello.
I have already begun the build for a 3'x1.5'x1.5' enclosure, and have purchased LED lighting strips as balls do not have any UV requirements.
Are there any carpet pythons that would be safely housed in such an enclosure?
