Does my Argentine have a problem?

My argentine I aquired in september has only shed once. She was about 1 month old when i aquired her. She shed about a month and a half after getting her. She is eating fine and defecates on schedule. Is this a sign of a problem or jsut a wierd shedding habit?

If she is eating and defecating then i dont think there is a problem. She will shed when she is ready... What size prey and how often are you feeding?

She eats a weanling mouse every four days actually they are pretty big for weanlings

I find neonites are kinda funny, in that they all are different in the way they grow, and shed, etc.. I have some boas that shed every couple of weeks, and some that go months with out shedding, they all have their own individual genetics, like everything else, you have your fast growers and then there is the slow growers, and sometimes I find my boas go through growth spirts, they might shed and grow quickly over a couple of months then nothing for like two or three months then bam, the process starts all over. As long as your boa is eating well and then there is nothing to worry about. Just like my good friend jeff says, she'll shed when she is ready, good luck, and enjoy your little princess!!!

Dude, weanling mice are too small for a boa. Should be at least fuzzy mice or pinky rats. I would go with the rats, they taste better and have a little more fat than mice. lol

As long as you have their environment right, and you're feeding them the proper prey (which appears to be the case) I wouldn't worry about it. Like boa maniac said, each snake grows at it's own pace in it's own way. You just keep it healthy and everything else will be fine.
