Black head python

Hi guys,

There's a discussion on another thread about BHPs and it reminded me of pics e-mailed to me by a mate a few years ago.

Now i don't know if you guys have seen these before but these were taken by some miners in WA.

Cheers,

RED INK
i've seen those pictures before, but everytime i see them again, they never cease to amaze me

thanks for sharing mate

i'm always trying to convince new keepers, that carpets will take up to 4 times their girth,i think i'll reffer them to this thread,to proove how much larger than their girth a snake can take

i'm sure theres pictures kicking around of a scrubby eating a kangaroo...!!

cheers shaun

Definitely mate, I've seen the pics of a scrubby taking a roo, there's also a pic of a coastal with a large possum in it's belly bout 8x the girth of the snake

Have you been to Denver's site, he has a white one that all BHPs would be measured by, there was also a bumblebee kicking about for a while here till some (insert inapproriate language) stole it and disappeared from the hobby before it could breed.

Re: Black head python

wow little greedy thing! my cp is afraid of anything big, even though she could take a rat right now if she wanted. Shes curious about it when we offer, but eventually just bumps it with her nose and tries to run away. She HAS eaten one before! i guess she didn't like the indigenstion. She seems to only want mice now. So, we give her large mice and she stuffs it down. We keep trying on the rats. I'm waiting her out right now to try a rat again. Plus she just shed, so maybe she thinks she's a big girl now (40 inches!)
