Parasites - what kind?

So, i haven't actually noticed any kind of mites or parasites on any snake...but I worry about my newly aquired snakes from the pound. There is no reptile vet anywhere close to me. I'm going to have to save up a little and take a trip, and address all my issues at once *lol*
But in the meantime...how can i determine if there may be a parasite problem in my snake? I see nothing...but what about internal parasites? Any signs i should be aware of? Working on the retained eye caps, proper sheds, and gaining weight. No runny noses or goopy eyes. No wheezes or pops. Nothing, at a glance, wrong with poo or any difficulty doing it.
What else should I be looking for?

Re: Parasites - what kind?

worms in the stool for the most part, and losing weight at an unhealthy rate.

Re: Parasites - what kind?

Stephan said exactly what I was going to say.

When I adopted my beardie I noticed little white "strings"
So I took him to the vet with a stool sample and he identified them.
I think it was roundworms but I cannot for the life of me remember.

Two doses of Panacure knocked 'em out.
