Rat Breeding Update

Well after having mice for awhile, I got sick of it and decided to go with rats instead. 2 weeks later my female has babies. She was already pregnant when I got her for sure, but its still pretty cool. Heres a pic of the babies the day the were born a week ago.

pink jelly beans!!! is that the whole litter?? mine have an average of 10-13.

No I had 12, and 1 stillborn, but 2 have vanished. They probably died of complications or something and mom ate them. The survivors are turning black and have tails and ears now.

awesome!! Mamma will eat any dead/deformed babies pretty much at birth! They grow really quickly, at about 8-10 days they are the size of juvi mice.

Yeah their getting big. My males freaking out because hes buy himself.

give him kale and peas, some apple. Nice treats, he'll forget all about it..........till you put her back that is!!!

I gave them apple today and he ate all of it :P
