(Another) New Arrival!
Continuing our “new arrivals” profiles, next up is a seven-month old male. While his color may not be a Tier 1 stunner, that is not the reason we acquired him: rather, it is his pattern. He is an excellent example of the bullseye line…but he comes from a completely *different* lineage than our bullseye females. That should give us some amazing bullseye babies in a few years. Of note, he also has a single black spot on each side of his body…I’m thinking maybe a pirate name? ;-) As of his very first weigh-in with us this past July, he was 60 grams.
Here he is as of his early July arrival at Living Gems:
The box is opened…and who is peering up at me?
If I stay under the paper, you can’t see me!
OK, fine, you *can* see me….
…but you better not start anything you can’t finish….
After all that, he turned out to be a real sweetheart (so far)…though he takes a little coaxing to get to eat....
Thank you for reading,

Re: (Another) New Arrival!
I've never seen a bullseye brb before. Thats a really cool snake, I've seen a few of the different mutations being developed with these guys. Definitely a snake you don't see enough of. Congrats on the awesome pickup.

Re: (Another) New Arrival!
Thank you, everyone!
Generally, you have to be careful when buying an animal marketed for its side pattern: lots of them have only moderate (in come cases, even only a few) of the advertised pattern. For that reason, always ask to see full side picts. This guy was from an honest breeder, and has almost entirely bullseyes.
I may have discovered the trick to feeding him: this last time, he finally ate when the pink was left overnight. He had previously ignored one left all night, but maybe he's catching on....
Thank you again,

Amazing looking snake. The more of your snakes I see the more I want to get a baby from you. Do you have a site of available snakes?

Re: (Another) New Arrival!
Why thank you, Brian! Your best bet at this time is to check out the Facebook page linked in my signature. It has a (no hard commitment) wait list you can sign up for, which guarantees you will get word early. No babies right now, but two litters on the way if all goes well. We will probably also sell a select few of our juvenile and/or adult animals later this year.
