Fresh shed, and a big ole' rat

Look at that shiny new skin! This 380 grammer served her well after her tiring perfect shed.
Is it just me, or did these come out extra good this time?

Beautiful pictures. I wish I had a good camera. Those colors on her head in the third pic look almost psychedelic. Very cool!

Thank you very much, that is a pretty high compliment! And I appreciate it.

The camera/lens combo that took that shot retails for $1350 ($900 body, $450 lens), but I got the combo for about $800 used, which isn't very hard to do.

What are you planning to use the camera for? I could recommend you a good setup for a reasonable price if you gave me some more info.

Re: Fresh shed, and a big ole' rat

i pretty much just take my camera around when i have time and shoot whatever i can and shoot my herps and stuff. nothing super professional by any means. my current camera that died was a semi-decent digital my dad gave me for free when he upgraded. if you look at any of my threads with pics they were all shot with the same camera i have.

Re: Fresh shed, and a big ole' rat

What's your price range?
Are you looking more at a high end point and shoot, or a low end DSLR?

She's beautiful...nothing like a good clean coastal carpet. Your camera skills are awesome too!

not sure, my current dead one is just a 5.0 megapixel digital still. i'd probably want something similar to that, not too high end and expensive. basically im looking for the best camera i can get for a few hundred dollars probably.

Ok, well that price range I actually don't know much about. I haven't had, or looked into point and shoots for several years.
My best advice would be to look online for user reviews, and etc. Sorry I can't be more help.
