Re: Help!!! Urgent!!!
Nothing, put a topical antibiotic on the wound. your snake should be fine.
Do not use anything with pain relief in it.

Re: Help!!! Urgent!!!
Neosporin or Silvadine ointment is best.

Re: Help!!! Urgent!!!
Yup. Neosporin was recommended by our vet when we were giving shots to our water dragon.

Re: Help!!! Urgent!!!
Don't feel like an idiot...it's a common misconception. HOwever, animals that are equipped with venom have generally evolved to be immune to their own venom. If a king cobra bites itself, it will be fine too...as it is resistant and immune to its venom, and also to the venom of others of its species. Otherwise I think the species would not survive for very long, as they have to eat prey they've bitten and injected their venom into, and what if there was a tiny wound in the mouth or digestive system?

Re: Help!!! Urgent!!!
yh true lol, my snakes are my surrogate kids lol and even though i try my best not to humanize them with emotions, its hard to not know when they are happy or not, my other 3 snakes are perfect pets (especailly the boa lol) they all come out and have a cuddle and curls up on my lap, the hoggie and boa does this without moving for quite some time so i know that what ever im doing, its right lol and its so hard not to panic when you see actual blood especailly when its from the mouth but thanks to all of you, i have been reassured and i cant thank you all enough for that.
actually i know a way to thank you all, i will post new pics up of my guys very soon after ive taken the pics and i will use my actual camera this time lol
