Hi Everyone!
I just stumbled upon this site today. I'm a member of a few other reptile enthusiast communities online, but I'd never heard of you guys, so I figured I'd come check you out. Seems like a pretty active board. I like that.
A bit about me:
My name's Kyle. I live in Newark, NY with my girlfriend Corina. We've both been casual snake keepers since we were children. Since meeting each other we decided to take our reptile enthusiasm to the next level. For the last 2 years we've been working on growing our collection of Columbian boas and ball pythons in preparation to create a small, home-based breeding project. We currently have 6 boas and 8 pythons. Most of them are still too young to breed, but we expect to be "in business" in the next 2 to 4 years. You can see pics of them all on our facebook page (link in my signature), if you want.
We also recently entered the Stand up for Snakes video contest, sponsored by Brian Barczyk, and we're doing very well so far. We're very excited about that because any one of the contest prizes would be like a shot of adrenaline to our breeding endeavors. If you want to see our video entry (and hopefully vote for us, if you like it), that link is in my signature too. Just as a heads up, the video is rated in that grey area between PG and PG-13 for some semi-nudity. Nothing worse than you'd see in a woman's underwear commercial...but enough to warrant a warning.
Anyway, just wanted to make my introduction and say hi to everyone. I look forward to getting involved in some discussions and doing some learning here. And maybe even impart some of the things I've learned on to some others.
Thanks!
~Kyle~
