Success!

We bred a female out to one of our males. She was given to us with the chance of being infertile, she's laid clutches the past two years, both of them going bad. Turns out it was the previous breeders male instead. Success! They have no solid bloodlines, but will still make fantastic pets!

Female #1 - The Only One So Far

Male #1

Male #2

Male #3

The Baby Rack - Good job to Ryan for finishing the day everyone started hatching haha!

And a picture of Prada and Chanel, our up and coming females, because they're pretty.

-- We've got four out, two pipping, and the other half of the clutch incubated in another incubator where the heater failed, so they're probably about two weeks behind these guys. I will keep updating in this thread. :P

Re: Success!

Looks like there could be some Bredl genes in there somewhere?

Re: Success!

OMG @Lankyrob, we were just thinking that! Check out the last hatchling

Here's the last one from this half of the clutch, he's a weird one. He came out orange and black as opposed to the grey and black (pictured on the left). The fifth one drowned himself in his egg, so we only got five out of this group The rest of the clutch should be hatching in a few weeks.

Any ideas on why he's orange?

Re: Success!

Both the colouring and the body pattern jus scream bredl to me, if you just posted the one pic and asked for an id i would always say bredl. Do you have genetic history for both parents?

Re: Success!

Nope not on either. It's unfortunate, because we have no idea.

Re: Success!

Dad looks like a Coastal. Mom it's harder to tell the marking say Jungle, the color Irain Jaya. IMO The baby with the orange makes me thing Irain Jaya or Bredli in it.

Re: Success!

I really don't think Dad's a Coastal, maybe a twinge, but not much. He's four, and a whole five feet, hardly a few pounds on him. Mom on the other hand, I could definitely see some Irian Jaya influence, and she's also four but a whopping seven feet, so there's gotta be some coastal in her right? I can't find straight Irian Jaya photos to reference anymore, they've all been mixed with the jungles or jags
