Re: profile: Hyprion
aww poor guy!! glad he is back on his food. If you squeeze his tail between your pointer and thumb, run your fingers down you can tell if he is a boy because he will have alot more business down in there lol or you can pop him but be prepared for poo/pee : /

Re: profile: Hyprion
As Jendee said. Take your thumb and index finger. Thumb on the underside, index on the back. Firmly(just a little bit of pressure) slide both down the tail end. A little bit past the cloaca, if you feel two bumps as you slide down, it's a male. It's like a speed bump in the road. Doesn't hurt the snake or anything, really easy to do. Great technique for those not experienced enough to pop their snake but want to make sure or are unsure. I did this with my BRB 'cause I thought his tail tapered off a bit too quick for a female, but he had the 'speed bumps' so I was sure.
It's said it's easier to use this method on younger boas since their muscles aren't entirely developed then, so it may be a little harder to tell on a juvenile or adult boa, but hopefully it'll help you.
At any rate, gorgeous snake! Really sad he was sold as a sand boa... LOL Obviously not a sand boa. Love love love his light pattern and the speckles all over~
