Incubation Containers

hello,
i am new to breeding ball pythons and i cant seem to find a "good" incubation container. i could use a tupperware container but my only problem is that i do not have much room in my hovabator incubator. they are pretty small incubators and i am trying to find a container that is not too big (to take up the entire hova bator) and not too small ( no room for the eggs) let me know if you have any suggestons or what you personally use. thank you
andrew

Re: Incubation Containers

I like salad containers, the throw away ones. The thin plastic is easy to punch holes in with a leather punch and I also use them for moist hides.

Re: Incubation Containers

another question.... i was thinking about using thr deli containers, but i cant decide of i should get them with holes or not.... i am incubating ball python eggs and i have read some sites that have the container with and some without airholes... not sure what to do. also, i dont know if the deli cups will be deep enough for a stack of ball python eggs. i was thinking about goin to target or wal mart and get tight fitting sterilite containers????? what you guys think?? thank you

Re: Incubation Containers

ball python eggs are big so youre going to need big egg containers. if the size of container wont fit inside your incubator then youll need a bigger incubator. its best to accommodate for the eggs and not for the space that you may or may not have. crowding a clutch of eggs in a small egg box can easily lead to problems.

if youre incubating a single clutch in a hovabator then i would suggest finding the biggest egg container that will fit inside.
