I can't speak to the book, but the numbers are male/female/unsexed

2.0 amel corns = 2 male amel corns

0.1 Nicaraguan Boa = 1 Female Nicaraguan boa

1.1 Aru Scrubs = 1 male and 1 female Aru Scrubs

0.0.1 Jungle x Coastal Carpet is unsexed

....And Natedog beat me to it.....

Re: What do the decimal or whatever numbers mean?

Been thinking about the book. I pick up every herp themed book that I can get my hands on at a decent price. Get it, and keep an open mind.

Re: What do the decimal or whatever numbers mean?

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I'm still a little confused about the whole decimal thing. I have 3 male ball pythons. The oldest is 8 and the other 2 are almost a year old. The female also almost a year old. How would you "write" that?

Re: What do the decimal or whatever numbers mean?

The numbers have nothing to do with age, just sex.

So it would be displayed as..

3.1.0

3 males
1 females
0 unsexed snakes

Nothing wrong keeping a thread going, especially if it helps others.
